I missed the big flight but managed to capture these two taking off.
I grew up on an Iowa farm and moved to the city to pursue an IT career, only then it was called Data Processing. I can still remember taking a third grade class picture with my dad’s box camera; it took 120 film. Digital photography has allowed me to take advantage of my career and the passion for capturing a moment. While it takes great talent to paint or sketch a picture, I have always been a fan of photography. Photography has allowed me to see my great great grandfather, my dad in uniform with his unit in WWII, etc. Photography has also taken me to all the continents of the world, to the highest and lowest places on Earth and even below the seas. LOL Me too Edward and then I dont even know I "got it" til I see it on the computer. Just got to spend the hours and hours out on location to get the good stuff. You must be spending the hours cause your stuff is getting better and better.

Nicely captured Edward. The dabbling ducks just spring right up with no warning so you were lucky to capture these two. The diving ducks have their legs way back on their bodies and have to have a running start so you have longer to "get" something. I like the water drops that you caught mid air above the drake from the other birds. That is cool.
